Drove it to my new job.

Way cool photograph. Definitely a great looking Pontiac.

Congrats on the new job. What is your new job?

One observation though...at all the auto plants and engineering facilities I've ever worked at, taking pictures on company property - even in the parking lot - is a huge no-no! Be careful!

Its not uncommon practice for automakers to have a "not our brand" parking lots for people who don't drive a vehicle made by the company whose plant they are working at. Chrysler HQ has been that way for years. GM Tech Center is that way. All UAW union halls have forbidden import cars from parking in their lots for decades.

I see you've gotten around to a lot of GM SE MIchigan sites. i have worked in and around everyone of them except Lake Orion & St. Catharines, Ontario. I did support Powertrain for 11 years so I do know people who work there. Of course, I know lots of my fellow Widetrackers who still work or have worked at Lake Orion too - like JUSTA6. Many folks I knew from Buick CIty ended up at Lake Orion too.

Finally, my point was about being an employee (contractor or full-time) and taking pictures on company grounds, it can be grounds for termination. Its one thing if you are John Q Public and parking on public streets and taking pictures of buildings. It is another to take photographs as an employee or vistor, inside the gate to the facility, on company property. The concern is the possibility of spy photographs getting out to the media. Smart phones pose a serious security threat as would-be corporate spies have them. A spy shot of the new Camaro, Mustang, CTS, F150, Viper, or even a certain piece of new technology could be worth hundreds of thousands dollars to the spy photographer and cost the automaker a lot of unwanted media exposure and lost competetive advantage developing it before they are ready to release it to the market. So while it was a cool shot - be careful. It is not worth loosing your job over it.

Exhaust is done on the GTO, He got into messin with my carbs as the front one started puking gas now. Rebuild kits came in yesterday N I dropped it off. Finally have the middle carb squared away and thought I was past this carb issue. Pretty nice of him to help me out as I can't do anything after my shoulder surgery last Monday. I hope I can drive the car home when he's finished, fingers crossed, MONDAY!
