  • Welcome to Forever Pontiac

We are a community of Pontiac enthusiasts. The purpose of our community is to keep alive the Pontiac spirit by sharing (or showing off) our cars, discussing Pontiac, helping each other work on our cars and find information, plus attend various meets/shows/etc... To aid discussion, sharing, event planning and selling of parts/cars/anything, we have various parts of the website to aid this from Forums to an online Garage to Classifieds to even a Document Download Repository. You can find links to these in our navigation above based on what each section helps with (discussion, local events, learning, etc...).

We invite you to contribute, find help or just view some of our member's amazing cars! Don't forget, we also have great contests from time to time (like our Pontiac of the Month and yearly calendar contest) and our Pontiac This OR That, a fun game where you choose the best of two randomly selected Pontiacs from our online garage.

We look forward to seeing you around!

He said something about how he wants to know his engine, uhm has a THM400 Transmission, has 10000 miles on his car. Also a 4 barrel Edelbrock Carburetor. And the ride isn't great? About all I could get out of it.

Your note was a tad bit garbled. If I understand you correctly, you were asking about information concerning your engine and transmission. Correct?

You said you have a 400 turbo transmission. That is the most heavy duty transmission that Pontiac put into the full size cars. It can handle the power of your engine and the weight of your vehicle. It can be built up to handle high horsepower engines, upwards of 800 HP.

Your engine is probably a 389 cubic inch engine. This was the standard engine of the day. An Edelbrock performance manifold and a 4-barrel carberator are excellent top end pieces from a performance perspective.

What else would you like to know about your car?
