"Black Betty" - 1995 Chevrolet Beretta Base

Recommended Posts

Hey Everyone,

I'm Mark. I joined this forum almost two years ago, and my roommate Sadie (valid) keeps telling me I should be more active on here. I am also friends with Morgan (Hobo1). I am from Wisconsin, and I drive a 1995 Chevrolet Beretta Base that I've named "Black Betty," thanks to my best friend always calling her "Betty Beretty." "Betty" is usually how I refer to her.

She started life with a 3100 SFI V6, but I've since swapped to a '99 Grand Am 3400 SFI V6, and most recently an '04 Oldsmobile Alero 3400 SFI V6. I've also converted her from "Base" trim to "Z04" (Z26/GTZ) trim. There were a few other modifications along the way such as lowering springs, sway bar upgrades, and the removal of a few un-necessary systems (for this car) such as the A/C and ABS.

Future plans include finishing my power window swap, refinishing my headliner, doing some rust repair, OBDII swap, and supercharging my 3400. Before any of that, I may find a rust free chassis to swap everything over to since Wisconsin did its damage before I ever laid hands on her.

I can list all the changes I've made if there is interest. But, for now, here are some pictures:

I also own a 1990 Pontiac Sunbird SE and a 1996 Isuzu Rodeo LS (Winter vehicle).

Here is the Sunbird:

I'm glad to be here, and hopefully more often!

You had better be here more often! I'll just keep nagging you like the wife I'm not if you don't :picard:

I love your cars, you know that. (Maybe not so much the squealing of the Rodeo but it is fun to dominate snow in.) Thanks for posting!

Hey he posted!! :picard: :picard:

Great looking Beretta and Sunbird!! The mods to the Beretta look real nice and clean. Plus I love the front ends of Sunbirds.

Ah yes, good ol' Marky Mark. His Beretta is quite a hit on another forum, or at least it was until he stopped posting lmfao.

I absolutely love your cat, 95naSTA!

..... and by "cat," I totally meant "car!" lol...

Mark, meet my fiancee Mike. I figure my bff and my betrothed should get to know one another. Maybe you can date Mike's girlfriend since I'm stealing him from her?

  • 4 weeks later...

I had the first year for the Regal on that platform such a fancy, sporty fun little car. I called it my want-a-be Caddy coupe!

Thanks!

Plans are in the works for a new transmission. She will also be getting at 65mm TB this spring. I also have another upgrade planned, but it's a secret and depends on a few things that I'll have to look into next time I go see her.
