my new car for next year

I've encountered plenty of douche rockets with Vettes. Basically, if you don't have a car on par with a 'Vette...you're not on their level, and a waste of time.

Encountered this at car shows.

Could also be your area and the specific car show. The one show I've been in was primarily Vettes, Camaros and other muscle cars then a couple new cars in my year. They came by, we talked and they had nothing but good things to say and interesting things to talk about. Then I used to go to a cruise every now and again, all the Vette and Camaro owners were impressed with my car and had good things to talk about, seemed the younger import drivers I always encounter that seem to be douches to me.

I live in NY, remember...

I've held conversations with the like, and when they ask what I drive...they usually first think, "Oh, supercharged? GTP?"

-__-

"No, Grand Am. They didn't come supercharged,"

pokerface

Interest gone.

I've had more import dudes show interest than domestic guys. I actually am liked by a lot of local d00ds with Nissans, Hondas and Mitsubishis.

Eh I'd rather have interest gone than someone all out trying to make you look bad but I know what you mean. V8 guys kinda do look down on anything else but I haven't encountered that as bad as some rice-buckets have tried to poke fun at my car cause it's a Pontiac, GM or American.

Crazy how different it is down here vs there

it would be cool it if had the 3.6 pentastar in the srt model with 300 hp.

The Pentastar is a ballsy V6. 290HP in applications for the Charger and 300 use, 315HP for the Challenger. A friend of mine has a 2011 Charger with the Pentastar...for a 4,000lb coupe, it scoots damn quick.

I am admittedly a hatchback junkie. I however have never seen one Chrysler I liked, hatchback or not. For whatever reason their designs have never struck a chord with me.

lol I agree there are a lot of Chrysler products out there that just look ugly or cheaply made. I wouldn't mind owning a Challenger or Charger though

The only Chrysler that I like in terms of design are the new Challengers. I like the set in headlights and grill. Plus the one piece grill looks good. It seems more muscle car-ish than the Charger (Even though the Charger is the muscle and the Challenger is the pony)
