Pontiac of the Month

Pedja's 1968 Firebird

2019 March
of the Month

  • Welcome to Forever Pontiac

We are a community of Pontiac enthusiasts. The purpose of our community is to keep alive the Pontiac spirit by sharing (or showing off) our cars, discussing Pontiac, helping each other work on our cars and find information, plus attend various meets/shows/etc... To aid discussion, sharing, event planning and selling of parts/cars/anything, we have various parts of the website to aid this from Forums to an online Garage to Classifieds to even a Document Download Repository. You can find links to these in our navigation above based on what each section helps with (discussion, local events, learning, etc...).

We invite you to contribute, find help or just view some of our member's amazing cars! Don't forget, we also have great contests from time to time (like our Pontiac of the Month and yearly calendar contest) and our Pontiac This OR That, a fun game where you choose the best of two randomly selected Pontiacs from our online garage.

We look forward to seeing you around!

Very cool. I would have loved to grab a manual from a '60s Goat, too bad they don't go back that far.

Joe needs to check this out and expand his brochure/manual collection :welcomeFP:

They do go back that far, they list ones for 1940's. (http://store.rothautobooks.com/s14000.html) They are in the process of posting their new inventory so they don't have anything really listed. I think you also have to request one and they shoot you an email.

You can buy reproduction shop manuals through some of the large restoration parts suppliers like YearOne, Performance Years, OPGI, etc. Also, another company has digitized them to a CD for the exact year of your goat. So you can purchase both the shop manual and body manual on one CD for about $50-60.

I own two original shop manuals for the Lemans (one has the binding breaking down so some pages are falling out), a body manual for '72 and (as a back up) the CD. I also own a shop manual for the '86 Trans Am. I purchased the shop manuals at swap meets in my area for less than $40 each. These are original GM printed shop manuals too, not a Chilton's or Hayes.
