Welcome

The 1406 is a pretty good carb as I have one on my truck and it works great. You may need a calibration kit with it as out of the box they are usually set best for a 350.

Welcome to FP.

Hrmmmmm... These are nothing more than Pontiac badged Caprices.

But the hubcaps, chrome crap, and the thing covering the rear wheel...gotta go. Gaudy, IMO.

I've never seen many people mod these, other than the horrid Donk fad consuming these large body on frame cars.

I forgot to add. A friend of mine has one of those but a wagon with turbines on it. Looks great for stock wheels. How do you like the spectre intake?

hub caps?

Yes, I have chrome 16'' rims, but no tires for them. When I first had the car I put on 14'' 100 spoke gold daytons with lo pro tires, but that only lasted a week before I said enough is enough and went back to stock steels.

Please read the rules on how to post pics: http://foreverpontiac.com/index.php?showtopic=48 ;)

otherwise :welcomeFP:

1. chrome is awesome

2. thing covering the rear wheel is a "side skirt" and is also awesome, way better than bare wheel showing.

3. My pontiac was made in Canada, has the tow package, auto everything, cruise control, posi traction, and a headliner thats not falling down. plus my tail lights are way nicer than any crapice

4. I get upwards of 25mpg with a lead foot and mixed highway/city driving

Spectre intake gives the engine a nice shine with the low profile chrome air cleaner, the filter holds just as well as a K&N and is easily washed and re-oiled, it has a much meaner growl with a dual 4" port than the stock snorkel, and the "danger Will Robinson!!" ram air hoses are easily positioned and moved to suitable cold air/ram air locations and snug in nice with zip ties. The air intake hoses give it almost a ghetto fabbed intercooler look, the way they wrap around to the front of the hood behind the grill. Easily passed off as a turbo to a unskilled blind man. All in all it was well worth the 80$ on ebay

No pics yet of the chrome fans on

but will put some up soon

thank you all for welcoming me and my pontiac

the bottom pics of the daytons are old, just thought I would prove i havent always repped hub caps

they are 14'' gold 100 spoke daytons with star knock offs , low pro white walls, with a rubber mallet

the daytons are a 1" smaller than stock 15s and tires are 4ish inches smaller than my 215/75/r15s

needless to say i fell into my car everyday, yet i only scrapped the back end coming out of steep entrances/exits, and i have that tow bar back there so my body/chrome/everything is protected. only that scrapper bar hits

I had enough of the daytons after 1 week and went back to stock wheels. Havent had time or money to get tires for my 16" chrome 5 spoke wheels, but that is the plan for the future.

thanks for looking

not a fan of the daytons.

 to FP though! keep up the work!

Thanks for the welcome, and I am not a fan either, at least on my ride. That is why I said I took them off after a week, now they are on a caddy sedan deville.
