Wow. I'd love to go on more road trips. Cali is just way too far to drive though. But when I saw that Sebring with Vermont plates...daaaaaaamn.

My friend Lizzy last year, she drove from Nassau, Long Island to Montana. She didn't think it was gonna be a big deal...but halfway through Pennsylvania, I get a phone call from her, "OMG WHAT DID I GET MYSELF INTO?!"

If I ever go cross-country, I'd definitely bring a friend.

I've made the drive to L.A. by myself before... took 29 hours, including 5 hours of sleep.

It would be nice if the lake froze again but it hasn't been cold enough here!

More pics will appear here.... as they get uploaded to photobucket, or I drive somewhere far away for something totally frivilous...

Ughhhhh your pictures make me miss California SO BAD. I love the number of pictures you take though! Absolutely awesome.

I've driven from IL to CA and from CA to WI, separate trips. One was moving out there, one was moving back. I'm doing it again round trip again this summer to check out grad schools-- AND I'll be taking my first who has NEVER BEEN FARTHER WEST THAN MINNESOTA. I can't fathom it.

Once people visit the west coast they never want to leave!!! In Canada, I've never been furter east then Winnipeg (sooo boring once you pass Calgary) and in the states I've never been further east then the Hoover Dam!!!

I'm so confused is Ghost being sarcastic or not! :willy_nilly:

:lol2:

Seriously though, I always like trip pictures. Gets to show your car in different scenery and I just like to travel and see other parts of the country/world so I won't complain lol.

Man, you totally missed the entire central coast! However, since you took 5 all the way down, you really did miss all the fun :lol2: Even 101 is a little prettier! Of course, being the scenery lover I am, I almost always take 1 at least one direction when going up to SF or down to LA.

Anyway, nice pictures! I used to have some from a road trip my mom and I took when we moved to CA but I lost them when my old computer crashed :willy_nilly: This summer I will take plenty!

I've only done hwy 1 from San Fran to Malibu once and it was the middle of the night.

The 5 there and back was the fastest way... 4 day trip there - back

4907kms (3047mi) on 333.73L (88.289gal) - 6.8L/100kms (34.5mpg) at a total cost of $282.14US - not bad for all freeway at 75/80mph+!!! No A/C.... tires at 42psi... Toyota 0w20...

You should, when you have the time, take HWY 1 for a bit in the daytime. It's especially beautiful around Big Sur. It truly takes my breath away every time!
