No bro, mine is pretty stock in the front and 3" higher in the rear. So I don't know if my numbers will help you much lol. But I did set it down today and get you some pics. Also the front parts are off so I'm a couple pounds lighter and sitting a little higherΒ then normal right now.Β I also found stock measurement's in my chassis manual from Pontiac but its for a 63' Bonneville. Hope it helps buddy. Let me know if I can do anything else.

Got the chassis to my sand blaster mate today !Β and he reconds i will have it back by end of next week!! $1200 to steam clean, then blast, prime and epoxy black paint, which i though was pretty fair:dancingpontiac:

Β He cracked me up, asking what type of truck was it from!! hahaha, i had to educate him on wide trackΒ pontiacs!!:dancingpontiac::rofl::dancingpontiac:

Dropped off the trailing arms off the diff to my sand blast man today, and saw my chassis, all clean, and primed!!!Β :dancingpontiac:

Β it looks mint as!:cheers:Β cant wait to see it in top coat... he is saying friday for pick up!

And yes for anyone who spotted it, i have left the factory riveted upper ball joints in place, this car that i have robbed the chassis from had only 85000 miles on the clock, the ball joints are super tight and i just could not make myself cut them off just for the hell of "" quote"" "" rebuilding my chassis".

i am on a budget for this rebuild..... aka i answer to my finance minister (wife), and i wont waste money when some parts are in good condition and just need a clean up, i will replace the grease nipple after it comes back from the blasters just so i dont introduce any shit to the ball joint, which i am sure my wife will be over the moon about, how i am saving money !!:rofl:

JustA, tell me about you diff, i justa went back to the picture you posted of your chasiss when you did your swap and noted that your diff has a tin back.... mine doesnt, what are these diffs???

i would of expected all gm diffs to have tin back plates, yet mine is this ruddy great solid mass looking more like a _ord 9 inchΒ :stars:

Let me guess - your diffΒ is more like a Ford 9" - with a center chunk or pumpkin? That would be the 57-64 Oldsmobile/Pontiac Full size rear diff that was standard on those cars.

The midsize cars had a 10-bolt 8.5" rear pinion diff (with the tin rear cover). Towards the end of the 60s, GM came out with the legendary 12-bolt in the Corvettes, Camaros, Firebirds, and selectedΒ muscle cars. However, the standard A-body/F-body was the 10-bolt.

wow thanks Frosty, thats interesting, i have a 57 chev diff on the floor and its a solid back and its wayyy smaller head than the Pontiac unit .Β

12 bolt N 4:11Β  Β  Β Have never seen another chrome cover like this one.Β  Cleaned N polished best it's gonna get, but still has some patina to it.Β  Β Was thinkin of painting it years ago when I painted the housing to swap over to the donor frame.Β  To me it looks like a big eyebrow.Β  So I bought the large set of MOON EYES stickers to make a smiley face...of sorts.Β  Never got around to it.

I am super pleased with the finish on this chassis, it will last at least another 56 yearsΒ :cheers:

My sand blast mate, bare metaled, then epoxy primed, then 2 pack epoxy black top coated everything... 😁

i am, just for the hell of it, fisholene the inside of the railsΒ :dancingpontiac:

Cool chassis porn bud. I'm jealous. The finish on the control arms is first rate!

JUSTA so you know, the 57-64 Olds/Pontiac rear diff was very popular with the early drag racers.

I run a 12-bolt in Lucy. It has 3.55 gears. I think it is a good compromise gear between highway and city.
