Hey everyone, new guy here, glad I found you

Greetings, I am from Priceville, Alabama. I have a 1965 Bonneville convertible. I bought it last year and started a major restoration on the car. Getting close to finished. I want it to be a driver, not a trailer queen. The car gets a lot of attention at shows. Thanks, it really does turn heads. Wow, where to start. Fuel tank, filter and fuel pump. Rebuilt the tri power. Rebuilt brakes with new NOS eight lug drums. Rebuilt the wiring, new dash lights, headlights and taillight bulbs. Rebuilt the AM/FM radio. New springs front and rear. New shocks with rear air shocks. New steering gear box. All new front end suspension parts. New tires. New convertible boot. Vacuum leak repairs. Rebuilt the retractable trunk light. Fixed the turn signal canceling cam. That's a good start anyway. There is more I'm sure.

:welcome:

Beautiful Bonnie! Looking at the options I can see, it  has to be a rare beast... convertible, 421 tri-power, 4 speed, eight lug wheels, tach, vacuum gauge, power windows, arguably the best color combination.

Plus I see power steering, Brakes, Seat, Remote side view mirror and Dash tach.  Stunning ! B)

Be-au-ti-ful! 🤩

Out of all the lines Pontiac built, the Bonnie's and Grand Prix's have always held a special spot in my heart (my first car was a Bonnie).

Glad you guys like the car. Before I bought it I researched the serial number carefully. The car was born with a 389 four barrel with a three speed in the floor. Apparently that was pretty common back then. I once had a GTO, 1966 with a three speed in the floor. It was factory that way. Sometime in the Bonneville history, somebody found the 421 HO engine. It is dated 1965. Probably from a Catalina 2+2. They mounted the emblems perfectly and converted it to a four speed. It has also had a color change. It was originally white.  So I guess you could call it a clone. Best I can tell everything else is factory. My hat is off to whoever made the changes. It is really fun to drive. They did a great job.
