Does anyone know if the Solstice GXP and Sky Redline suffer from the same issues that the 2.4L (some turbo'd) Ecotec's suffer(ed) from (i.e. oil burning)? The defective 2.4's were manufactured (supposedly) between 2010 and 2017 and Pontiac was wound down right around 2010 but given there may have been some slight overlap in engine manufacturing timing...

... just curious (especially after reading the above article and how it referenced the naturally aspirated Ecotec).

Every so often I will point a car out to my wife and say that was be a fun car show car for her to drive and two cars in particular that comes up often is the SSR (which she hates) or the Solstice / Sky (which she's OK with). If the opportunity ever came along to get one of these, I'm curious if I need to specifically stay away from the GXP / Redline trims.
