The 24th annual Woodward Dream Cruise on Saturday, August 17th. The annual Back to the Bricks week starts Monday, August 12, 2019 and ends on Saturday, August 17, 2019.

These two events account for over 80,000 cars and over three million spectators between Flint (Back to the Bricks) and the cities along the 16 miles of Woodward Avenue on a single day!!!

This year's Back to the Brick's formal events begin with free admission to nearby Lapeer Dragway for bracket racing on Monday night.

Tuesday night is drive-in night at the US-23 Drive-In theater. This year they will be showing "American Graffitti".

Wednesday and Thursday is rolling cruise nights between Grand Blanc and downtown Flint on S. Saginaw Street.

Formal Woodward events begin on Friday evening but informal cruising begins a week before.

The Michigan Widetrackers (were JUSTA6, JUSTAG6, notallthere [and the missus], Frosty, and perhaps Indyman Joe will be hanging out with) will be parked on the south bound Woodward Loop (a.k.a WIdetrack Boulevard) in Pontiac, across from the train station, south of the Phoenix Center on Friday and Saturday.

BTW - Frosty has promised something special for this year's group photo. The package from Amazon has already arrived !!!!

The greatest automotive car cruise week in Michigan has officially begun!

I hope you guys have great weather and a even better time. I thought I might make it up there to see you all this year, but that just doesn’t look like it’s in the cards, sorry!

The weather forecast is excellent at the moment!

Heck, one of my buddies from West Virginia is up with his '53 Corvette (#153 of the original Flint-built 300) for the Solid Axle Corvette Club's national convention here in Detroit this week.He will be parking with the NCRS folks down around 15 Mile (a.k.a. Maple Rd) in Birmingham.

Heading down now to play for the day as they are calling for storms/T storms anytime 5pm and beyond.  So far claiming Saturday will hold off the rain until at least 6pm.   I can't believe it.  The county is dumping cloride  (helps keep dust down on our dirt roads)  But it is 5 times more corrosive then road salt.  They dump it so heavy it turns the road to slop.  Now I have to drive over a mile to pavement multiple times in the next 2 days.   Freakin wonderful.....

Hope the weather holds for you guys! Terrible about the chloride, I feel for you! Why don’t they use road oil? Not that that makes any less of a mess, but at least it’s not corrosive!

Probably because its cheaper for the county road commission to get their hands on the chloride than the road oil. That's my guess anyway.
