I went to Kroger last night....

I went to my local Kroger after I got out of work last night. My wife wanted me to pick up some sandwich items. In the parking lot I see they had just finished a BBQ. 

Yup, they were apparently serving flambe Chevrolet !

Didn't know Kroeger was still around....Used to be my favorite store.....They all disappeared from around here 20 plus years ago.....

Speaking of Kroger, they left Northeast Ohio about 40 years ago! Makes no sense, as the company is from Cincinnati Oh.😮 go figure?

What's funnier is that is the Chevrolet dealership where my brother-in-law (technically ex) nephew, and son all work at too! Maybe they were making ....wait for it.....Blazers!!!!!

Kroger has a checkered past in this next of the woods too. In 1981 and 1982, Kroger closed its stores in Corunna, Saginaw, and then Flint because the poor economy in the area at the time and it could not reach agreement with the store(s)' food union(s). A local Hamady executive named Al Kessel bought the stores and re-opened them as non-union stores and stocked them with many Kroger brand items. A lot of people felt or saw this as outright union busting (it wasn't but one can see how you can draw that conclusion). Kessel Food stores were picketed by the food unions on and off since 1991 until 1999 when Kessel sold his stores to either Kroger or he converted a small number of them to Sav-A-Lot.

Isn't Kroger down there called Harris Teeter?
