Hoping for some Pontiac info?

Hi, all:

My dad passed away a while back and among his things I found an old registration and a photo of him standing next to what I believe to be the same car (though it's not the one he always talked about, which was a mid 50's convertible) - both are attached.  Anyhow, I'm trying to see if anyone might be able to advise a) what the car in the registration is, b) what the car in the photo is, and c) whether they're the same car. 

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The only information on the title that means anything is the W8XH3195. What I've found so far is this:

 

W - plant the car was assembled at - Wilmington DE - according to the PontiacRegistry.com

8 - Eight cylinder engine (straight)

X - 1953 model year

H - Hydromatic transmission

3195 - is build sequence - the 3195th 8-cylinder automatic coupe built at Wlimington.

 

Since the title says Pontiac CP - or coupe - I suspect it is not the convertible but rather the car in the photograph.

If you had a picture of either car's data plate, it would have a Style #, Body #, Trim #, etc. This would tell us what car, model, etc. that it is.
