Any help here explaining my PHS,?? It doesn’t say anything about who it was shipped too?? This is an early car and it confuses me why there’s no dealer destination on it?? Or name

Hi Fred and :welcome:

In the upper left-hand corner there a "zone" and "dealer" box... that is where it was shipped to, but unfortunately you would need someone who knows the codes to decipher that for you.  I found out the dealer my '68 was sent to by ordering a reproduction window sticker. Mike Noun is the best, you just send him a copy of your billing history. He knows all the codes and will make you the most authentic window sticker out there.  Here's his web site:

Hi Fred.  If you got your total PHS package, there should be a re-production of the window sticker (if maybe black and white). As stratman said, Mike Noun is the best.

Pontiac Zone 01 is Boston Massachusetts.

WallaceRacing.com has a good list of Zone/Dealer info but it is not complete and dealer 321 in Zone 01 is not listed. There are several dealers in that zone with unknown dealer numbers. Perhaps yours is one of them. On the form below, just enter 01 for the Pontiac Zone and then you can scroll through the list of known dealers in that zone.

The only other thing that might make sense - seeing that this is an early production car - is if it was sent to the Boston Zone office as a promotional vehicle and later sold through a local area dealer. However, your document above does not show any reference to the Pontiac Zone office itself, which is why I suggest it as only theory.

Thank you very much, that’s what made me question if this is a promotional car is that it has no destination. I called PHS back to ask them but they’re not answering. When I get stopped for the night, I will look Noun up andask him. If the vin wasn’t so low I wouldn’t question it. I know it was the first year for the Firebird too so I’m curious how close this is to first produced for Framingham

You are welcome Fred.

Do you have any original Pontiac documentation that came with the car? The dealer bill of sale? The Protect-O-Plate (looks like a credit card)? When I got my '72 Lemans convertible in '95 I got some of that original documentation too. I understand that this is a 50-50 proposition at best at this point.

Looking at your PHS sheet, I don't see a SHIP TO Zone/Dealer - which again makes me wonder if this stayed in the zone office.
