Craigslist '81 Camaro For Sale

I will say that I am truly impressed at the wood work on this vehicle. A true woody through and through. It's got a flathead Ford V8, those are cool but can be a pain at times to maintain. I just not sure if I can tolerate all the Pledge fumes it would take to keep it clean.

Also you can't leave this car outside, unattended for very long.   Woodpeckers!

Genuine Lingenfelter Trans Am 2014 vin #: 2G1f91ej4e9172531 automatic transmission  supercharged pushing 655 hp and 610 lb -ft of  torque   6.2L v8  engine ,  rare formula style hood , 1 of 37 cars ever ever built by Lingenfelter That's what the ad states!  $180,000.00 and this baby is yours!

Two problems for me.....first with that price - it's in London England!  Shipping is included in the price! OMG! I sure hope so.

Second----don't you think Lingenfelter could have removed the Chevy emblem from the steering wheel when the sucker was built?

:o I'm still stuck on the price.

Me too!

Considering what they claim they started with and this is what they ended up with. I hope they got the asking price in scrap metal.

1988 Chevy Suburban--Mini Dually - $5250

As an interesting side note, I just watched the latest episode of "Texas Metal" on Motor Trend TV last night. The build started with a farmer who had a badly built 1970 crew cab (made from a Chevy Suburban cab) flatbed wrecker/hauler. He wanted it to be turned into a true 4-door crew cab/long bed dually (Chevy/GMC never made one in 1970). With the exception of the horrible cab, everything else on the donor vehicle was literally thrown away.  By the end of the episode, rust and bad body work meant a lot of the original cab had to be replaced too. I'd guess 25-50% of the original cab was left by the end of the show. This build is clear a two-parter and we will probably get the conclusion next week.

Seems like I remember when I was a kid in the early 70s..That shortened wheelbase cars like that were sort of a fad..Mostly on the West Coast...but never really caught on...(thankfully)..Recall Hot Rod magazine ran a couple of photo articles on some tri5 chevys that were done like that..Then the custom van craze really took off right about then or shortly there after...

Of course when I was 10 thought they were really cool...(shortened wheelbase cars)..Today not so much....

Am 99% sure they weren't the Zinger cars...I remember those very well...Used to see them at the yearly custom car show in Greensboro..in the mid to late 70s..(the Dodge van was always my favorite)..They are all still very cool ....Even though I'm not a kid anymore...

The cars that I'm referring to... Were actually road worthy cars with the center section behind the front seat cut out then shortened until the rear glass and package shelf were at the rear of the front seat...My brother has a serious Hot Rod and Car Craft magazine collection...Some of them dating back to the late 60s early 70s...Will get up with him in the next few days and see if I can look through them and maybe find that particular issue or issues with some of those cars in them...

While we are on the funky cars subject...Does anyone remember the bubble gum that came with the Rat Fink type car stickers called Odd Rods...Used to have them all...Mine disappeared years ago...Suspect my Mom might have thrown them away along with alot of other cool kid stuff.....

Obviously these pics aren't from the 70s...Don't have any idea if these cars are survivors from that era or were done more recently.....

The truth is I took these photos for the PC last summer. The photos were taken at a fellow Widetracker's place - he hosts our club's annual summer picnic. Seems like he is getting around to cleaning up the place and he's trying selling some of his stuff.

 that makes more sense. Thought the background were random photos from an app or something with Pontiac photos. Yours make much more sense 😛

"This is the police car from Smokey and the Bandit."  Say What?????  Seriously? A '69 Ford LTD?

Gotta' love it when guys say things like "Ultimate Smokey and the Bandit Tribute". Nothing says Smokey and the Bandit to me like a Trans Am with a small block Chevy 350 in it and 33" tires on snowflake rims!  Now where did Fred go????

But hey it's ready for Duluth winter driving - I guess....

How about this '66 GTO for sale.

The ad states, in part, "Excellent body basically straight and with nice stainless as well. Won't find an original any nicer for restore than this one."

Do my eyes deceive me? Is that a piece of wood supporting a gap in the frame?

"Won't find an original any nicer for restore than this one."   Waiter....check please.

I'm not a Ford man or I don't particularly like this Ford van, still I appreciate the homage to "Big Daddy" Roth and Rat Fink.

This whole $2000 '91 Firebird ad screams at me! Does it bother anyone else that the photos show a blue Firebird yet the description on the rights says color="Orange", drive=4WD, condition=new, cylinders=5, and type=bus?

"This “bird” is in pristine condition fully loaded pretty much unused from factory, fully loaded. Also cums with customizable/removable driveshaft. 305 v8 with the nascar package it is a sprinter. Will start up and drive away after cash is in hand. An honest craigslist steal I have financial problems is I need it gone."

1978 Pontiac grand lemons - $3500

https://houston.craigslist.org/cto/d/houston-1978-pontiac-grand-lemons/6852197579.html

1978 Pontiac very rare car.. I’ve had it for about 4 years and it’s just collecting dust.. and getting rusted I rated sell it then to see it go to waste. It has a 454 big block gm engine, with a 350 transmission. Transmission has been fixed and rebuilt for racing. This thing will leave skit mark all over the road. 3500 obo no trades clean and original title.

What's a skit mark?
