JustaG6 and I met up with Frosty for the cruise to Sellers, meeting up with Mike and his Rivera. Waited all day for IndyJoe but again a no show. 90+ outside in the end of Sept???? Really?  Cars were just as hot and made for a perfect, but draining day.  Frosty and I both took awards.  All 4 of us won doorprizes.....whole nother story. Still LMAO:lol:   With a 100 cars.  Attendance was down this year.  But many made the cruise to Bakers to finish with yet another show.  Sadly it was the last show of the year for the Justa  tribe.  Might slip in a cruise night of the few remaining.  I'll post a few to get er started and Frosty will hopefully chip in this time with more pic's.

Dennis Koss' Catalina is about the most perfect Royal Bobcat that I know of. Short of Milt Schornack actually twisting the wrenches on it, this car is, part number wise, a correct Royal Bobcat. Dennis collected all the correct part number parts that were published in old issues of Hot Rod, Motor Trend, etc. from back in the day and built his own Royal Bobcat. He has won many award with this car and he drives the wee out of it too. I still haven't figured out how he keeps it so damn clean, particularly the engine bay.

Sorry Frosty, we should have stopped on the way there to get shots of our Pontiac's at the iconic freshly restored Commerce Drive In sign.  Couldn't help stopping on the way home.  JustaG6 took a wrong turn on the Eway missing the M5 cutoff and took the waaay long ride home.  Wish her car was in the shot as well.

Great, timeless composition, JUSTA... this picture could have been taken over 45 years ago! If it was, it probably would have been shot with a Polaroid instant camera and would most likely look something like this now...

Wow. I am impressed with you digital imagine mastery stratman. So what program are you using ? Photoshop?

On JUSTA's photo, I used a combination of Lightroom and Snapseed. Snapseed is a photo editing phone app that I got the distressed border for the picture. I then did all the final editing on my laptop using Adobe Lightroom.

There are a number of good photo editing phone apps- I prefer Snapseed, it's powerful, has a great number of photo editing tools, and it's free! The cool thing about Snapseed (or any photo editing app) is, you can take a picture with your phone, edit it on the spot, then post it in a text, or facebook, or whatever. It takes a little practice to really get the hang of it, but well worth it.

Here are some before and after iPhone pics:

Straight from iPhone...

After editing in Snapseed...

Here's a more dramatic edit. Straight from iPhone...

Snapseed edit (little crop, slight rotate ccw, brightness, contrast, saturation, and sharpness adjustments). This edit is more what the sky actually looked like that night...

And you can get all artsy-fartsy also. Before...
