Bambamm's 2009 G6GT

Recommended Posts

1st Mod: 5/30, I pulled off the stock tail lights and put on the LED Tail Lights. Picture isn't too clear, but it will do for now.

2nd Mod: 6/2, Wheels/Tires & Eiback Lowering Kit, DONE! Swapped out the mouldings at the doors. Notice no chrome on the door moulding??

3rd Mod: 6/3, Put on the Front Pipe Upgrade. I made a slightly larger hole and popped the vacuum tube into the hole and sealed the penetration around it. I've gotta take the male portion of the stock vacuum connection off the stock intake, and then seal it to the silicone bend that goes to the throttle body! How's it Look?

4th Mod: 6/5, Got the Full CRAB Option #3 installed. It took some modification, but I got it. No CEL, yet, and I've ran it like this since Saturday morning. Kept every stock part this time, if I ever need to take it to the dealer for warranty work, luckily it's easy to put back into place. I am going to assemble a make shift filter, for the tube going out the back, I took the little thing I had in its place off for pictures.

5th Mod: 6/7, Strut Tower Bar

6th: Windows Tinted!!!!!!!!

7th & 8th: Intake Resonator Deleted and HID's from DDM Tuning Installed.....read below about the DDM HID Lights, too

8th continued: HID'S installed. DDM Tuning, what's supposed to be 8000k bulbs.....

No HID Pictures yet! So i put the first HID bulb in and twisted it, SNAP, went one of the tabs. JUST PHUCKING GREAT, RIGHT!!! It's ok, it's good and secure......Put the second one in and you'll never guess..........SNAP, TWO PHUCKING TABS THIS TIME.....Luckily I still have the 1 good HID bulb from the other car, so I went to my office and put it on. GREAT, RIGHT, NOT REALLY! While putting the bulbs on, I noticed the filament isn't the same color as the ones I had installed on the gold one. THEY SENT ME 6000K, I'm sure of it, cause you can totally tell the difference in the lights. I'll take a photo and post it tonight or tomorrow. DDM must either think people are ignorant or just dont know any better? I'm going down to San Diego next weekend to see my brother and MAYBE ERIK, TOO!!!!! I'm thinking about making a trip over to DDM Tuning so they can swap out both of my bulbs for me.

9th: Debadged all but the Pontiac Arrows, I'm going to do the Carbon Fiber Overlay that I had done on the Gold G6.

10th: Carbon Fiber Overlays on rear pontiac arrow and the Key Hole for the trunk!

11th: Got My Plates Back On The Ride!

12th: Dual Valence.......

13th: GTR Installed.

14th: AIT Front Bumper Installed. Pete needed some cash and so we swapped front bumpers and some flow! Thanks again Pete.

New Pictures, Edit Completed on 2/11/2011:

AND THERE YOU HAVE IT, New Pictures in a Clean G6GT, 50,600 miles. I've had it less than a year, I got it with 26,700 on it. Some might say I drive alot, sure do, but I drive with a smile as wide as the Missouri River.

Tonight's List of swaps to do:

Brake Pads and Rotors

Eibach Springs

Grounding Kit

Motor Mount Inserts

Strut Tower Bar

Pull Head Unit, metra Kit, and Subwoofer power cords, too

anything else I can remember.

Last but not least, swap the wheels and tires, and the sensors for the TPMS.

So much plastic under that hood!!!!

Good looking new G6 man, congrats!! Did you get the monsoon sound system?

Yeah, it has the monsoon system. I have a powered subwoofer in the truck, am I able to just hook up RCA(low) plugs and run them to the subwoofer, or is there some elaborate wiring job I have to do?

I've never actually experimented with the monsoon system because it always suited my needs. I want to say there might be something different you may have to hook up to it just by recalling a few topics back on G6P but I'm not 100% on that or what exactly it is. There should be an amp along with several other hook ups in the trunk driver side (well of a coupe, dunno if its there on sedan).

The monsoon system is awesome though, I've had 2 12" subs just sitting in my house for over a year wanting to install them but never brought myself to spending the money for an amp because the stock monsoon system was very good.

Congrats on the New Car, and sorry to hear about your Misfortune.

As far as the TPM sensors, you will not have to completly remove the tire, just brake down the front of the tire and make sure that you do not move the tire around on the rim or you will have to re-balance it.

Also just to be sure you can mark the location of the valve stem on the tire for extra security.

Oh Do not drop the sensor inside the tire when you do remove it or install it, it is a bitch to get back out!

Good luck with the New Car and looking foward to seeing the Progress!

You need an inline rca converter for the sub install (best buy has them for about $10-20) and you'll have to tap the inline converter into the rear speaker wires going to the factory amp.

DONE!

Looks good but agreed, where's the GXP??

Dealership didn't want to pay a $4000 fee to the bank.......Plus, my credit wouldn't allow it.

I'll have to hold off on that for a while, that's how I had it set up in the last G6, before I got the new Headunit in.

Sorry, I must've skipped the part where you said you already had a new headunit. If your headunit has separate subwoofer and bass controls, just turn down the bass and turn up the sub, and just hook up the amp directly into the headunit and f it. Otherwise, I'd go ahead and get the inline converter.

6/3/2010: Installed the Front Pipe Upgrade. Modded it a little to compensate for the different vacuum line connected to the silicone attached at the throttle body.

your not wasting any time on this car! get some tint and you will be good to go! :indian:

I figured the best way to make the mods is to just do them! Swapping stuff from one car to the other is just time consuming the longer you wait, so I did all mine in less than a week.

Thanks guys!
