I pulled the plastic sleeve back and saw just one wire. The boot seems to be part of the whole sensor. I pulled it with pliers and a piece just tore off. It didn’t seem to want to come off. I got one of these just in case.
This is the description for it.
Thank you. Just found out after work. Pulled the thread out and put the new one in. The old one seems to not have a harness and only has one wire while the new one has three. Bought a 3 wire harness made for it. Does anyone know which wire I would use to get an oil pressure reading?
It seems to be all rubber with some sort of heat tape. It runs but shoots oil when running. Stops once the key is off due to missing oil pressure regulator.
It’s a 93 Tran Am with the 5.7 motor. I’m missing the oil pressure sensor from it mounting spot but the ones online look nothing like this thing. Also there is no other harness around.
