  1. Thanks for the response. Just retired and trying to figure out my budget. Then the car. I really like the 64 GTO. The 63 Tempest with a 326 would be fun.
  2. The car ran in B/S in those days. The motor was a stock 389 tri-power. It was blueprinted by a fellow named Arnie Chavez in San Jose. Wide ratio Muncie with a LineLoc, a Schiefer clutch and 411 posi., a set of 90/10 shocks in the front, 7inch slicks, Doug Headers. Oh and this was big, I used flat washers under the valve springs for a little more tension, how funny to think about that today. The car would run 13:40’s. Never good enough to compete with the bigs. Had fun with the local strips.
  3. Looking forward to Pontiac discussions. I’m currently without a Pontiac, but have had several to share my experiences with you. The attached picture shows how far I go back with Pontiacs. This 65 was purchased new by me. Notice the oil company name on the side. For you youngsters, Richfield was Atlantic Richfield Company, or as we know it today ARCO. My family owned an old truck stop and my dad loved racing. Guess what, I convinced him to sponsor my 65 and the fun began. Nice to meet you all, Gieg
