  1. My daughter helped me bleed the brakes. Man, the front brare nipples tight location is super hard to get a wrench on. Anyone figure out a trick to this? Also dropped the tank to put in new sending unit. The love of Bonnie repair!
  2. The brakes are sufficient but will be better today after I bleed them. Interesting that there was no rubber boot. I tried to use the boot from the 66 suburban. It mounted on master but didn’t seem to fit in booster.
  3. Hi Chris, the bad weather was on the other coast so we didn’t have much more than some strong winds. I had to put a rush on doing the dual master cylinder upgrade because the original would lose all its fluid in 4 days. The job would be easier if it included the fittings and coupler needed. I’m sure it’s different for various applications. In my case I only had room for one brake line on one side due to the wheel well. I ran the other line off the other side as you see in the picture. Not pretty but it works. Thanks for your help.
  4. Hi Chris, finally doing dual Master cylinder swap. Do you add any kind of proportional valve? I know I did for the 66 suburban but it had disk in front and drum in back which then needed proportional valve.
  5. Speaking of new tools, look at what the wife bought me for my bday. Looks like i will be taking it up a notch with car restoration. The 66 suburban is doing great. I just finished with front disk brake conversion. I want to make the rear solid glass sliders so it my be my first welding project. You can see a picture of an old window frame. It is double channel. One is 1/2”wide and the other is 3/4. The trick is the corner curves. I guess I need to cut notches to allow it to curve then weld it back. Also I imagine i will need to bend up my channel vs finding the correct u-channel size. Oh, one more thing, i have never welded other than cheap harbor freight 110v stick welder. Should be a learning experience.
  6. Wow! Is there anything you can’t do? Great job!
  7. You nailed it. Even though i bought the burb she still is not all the way on board. Seems she would like me to fishish 50 other projects first. This Meme sums me up. Maybe all of us guys
  8. Yes it does. It’s crazy they have three rows of seats for a 2 door. Front seat totally flips forward for rear access as you can see. I’m demonstrating the head room for my son. This was the other burb I didn’t buy.
  9. Let me know if you do. I will put you in touch with the guy I bought burb from. He has a 4 car bay on his property strictly for restorations. He has a full time guy doing all the work. Metal is decent. It has a 350 and th400 trans That seems fine. He had original interior professionally done including powder coat frame. I need to eventually do power steering and brakes. They put some new suspension parts in that should be good. Roof rack for surfboard is 1st on the list!
  10. Hi Chris, I guess its time to jump into my next restoration. I just flew to LA and SFO California to look at a 64, and 66 suburban for my 16yr old son and I. We are going with the 66 gmc suburban. Pretty clean but not as nice as Bonnie. So the green one is the 66 we are buying for 18k. Should give us some room for shipping and stuff like paint and such. The 64 was 10k more but not as clean. Plus it had rear barn doors vs clam shell. We love the tail gate look especially since we plan to make it a beach baby with surfboards everywhere.
  11. Another interesting 64 Pontiac for sale. https://youtu.be/cAHcn96vDjY
  12. Only breaks and distributor. No need for heat In Florida
  13. I’m curious to know what this line does? On my car the two manifold inlets are plugged and the pcv/valley pan line connects to the front center vacuum port. Is this a bad idea?
  14. Great job! Nice to see how someone else does it. There are so many vacuum lines, I have no idea what goes where? Thanks for the detailed pictures! They sound like a train when you punch it!
  15. You an i but both know we couldn’t make one that nice for under 30k The dealer said buyer drove it about 6hrs home with no problems. No way I would drive that car this time of year on the frozen winter roads.
