  1. Just found a manual g6 gt for 3500!!! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I547 using Tapatalk
  2. GM straight up said they will fix it free of charge or pay me $3600 for it. I didn't even have to hassle them for it. Seriously, good guy General Motors. I might try to get another car, maybe another Grand Prix lol because I really really like my Grand Prix
  3. Manufacturers would have to give you downloads in a manner where they could be forced upon you. Like via OnStar. You can't run the risk of some people having outdated software leaving them vulnerable and endangering themselves and others. Also, don't buy a vehicle with Park Assist haha
  4. Yeah lol, apparently I'm not the only one thats had this exact issue. Sounds like they're trying to avoid a liability issue
  5. GM is hounding me about this. They've been emailing and calling me about what happened and want all the info about the incident.
  6. He gave me $250 for the cam crank block head and flywheel. Thats what I paid for them. Gave him an even trade Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I547 using Tapatalk
  7. Basically They came with the package. $250 bucks for the entire rear end of a Farmall A. Still in great shape actually, The oil in the final drives and the transmission is still clean, no signs of water. That means all the internals are preserved. The iron itself is still good, and the transmission case and final drives will fetch a pretty penny themselves because they will fit an A, Super A, B and BN. Cast iron like that can take the elements for quite sometime, thats why most of these tractors are are still running I basically plan on getting what I can out of them for parts, giving them a little touch up in the paint department and flipping them, to either make some money, break even, or hell, I'd settle for anything to bring the overall cost down.
  8. Parts. You're looking at parts. The rims are getting tossed. Im taking the good gears out of that transmission to put in mine. The engine is for my boss. Hes got a BN with a cracked block Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I547 using Tapatalk
  9. Separate housings for stop and tail don't make any sense, especially when you factor in the 3rd brake light. Only separated turn signals do.
  10. I remember him, I don't remember why he was banned. Are there any archives, should I get popcorn?
  11. I just got a new CPU and Motherboard. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132507 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117369 I'm just waiting for them to arrive. Should finally bring my PC on par with the massive monolith of a graphics card that is my EVGA GTX 970 SC Now I just need to find games that I can max out lol
  12. Damage is isolated to the fusebox. Secondary damage occurred to the wiring harness in close proximity to fusebox due to heat from the fire. Filed an insurance claim and it should be covered unless the adjuster finds "negligence" or the cost become too high, then shes "totaled", but I'll just fix it anyways.
  13. Headlamp relay I replaced about a year ago burnt up. Was at Tractor Supply (of course haha) Came out after buying a few things (was inside for about 20 minutes) and saw smoke under the hood. I popped it and the fuse box was on fire. I ran inside the store and ripped a fire extinguisher off the wall, put it out and disconnected the battery. Get this, while it was burning the fog lamps that I have no way to turn on because I lack the proper turn signal stalk with the switch were on. Is it possible to get a new fuse box and replace? The damage is only at the box, nothing else got burnt.
  14. Yeah the amber is weird. Then again my Phoenix has ambers. Judging by the looks Id say this is a '73. I can't find any photos of a '73 with ambers though.
  15. Arms dealing with the former Eastern Bloc
  16. Was Oldsmobile a global brand? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I547 using Tapatalk
  17. Olds Delta 88. Radial T/As. Interior was perfect I also saw a couple of Camaros and Chargers lol
  18. Hey cool, Inline has a section for Ventura\Phoenix. http://inlinetube.com/Preformed%20Lines/Web%20Line%20Listings/PE-CAT-01.htm When I return from my trip I'll check the brakes. My first order of business is to get the car drive-able. That way If I find something I just can't do on my own or need help I can road trip her to my buddy the next town over who has done body work on a 67 Camaro RS and completely restored a 78 Chevy pickup. Hes helped me with the Phoenix a few times, same guy that welded those plates into the floorpans of the Phoenix to cover those holes remember? lol
  19. Okay thanks Frosty. Classic Industries might have something if its not too expensive. They have a catalog for the Nova, I actually think I have one lying around somewhere. And if it means anything, the "BRAKE" light is on meaning the car is detecting something wrong with the brakes.
  20. Pulled the crap out of the trunk, including the old liner. Can see outside through the rear fender lips after removing some of the rusted bloated paint. I leave for Italy on Thursday so I won't be able to do much to her. I put air in the shocks and they actually came up and stayed. I haven't checked the height of the car in a few days, but it still looks like its holding lol. And getting the flat rear tires to seat on the bead to reinflate them was a task. Had to put her in neutral and roll the car back and fourth while having the compressor on the tire. I also don't know what happened to the brakes\lines. Should I just put fluid in the reservoir and press the brake to see where it comes out? I got new lines 4 years ago after they failed while I was driving to school lol. I don't remember if I got the entire system of lines replaced or just where it broke. Took a look around the car and I can't find much rust other than the fenders and wheel wells. The front wheel wells are still in good shape, I pulled those out when I first got the car and cleaned\painted and bed-linered them. What should I do about the rear wheel wells? Cut em up and remove the rust? It seems the most rust is behind the well in the front. I was able to stick my fingers up there and pull flakes and crud out. Circled is the area I'm talking about: Also, on my Grand Prix my Tire Pressure Monitor System isn't working and neither is my key fob. Could these two issue be related considering they are both deal with radio signals? I just got a new fob from my GM dealership last summer and it worked for a few months and then stopped. Sometimes I like to get into the Phoenix start her and listen to the engine. Othertimes I just turn it to accessory and listen to the Red Sox. Is this odd behavior? Question for our resident FP psychologist, Notallthere
