Good morning, I was curious as to the cost and difficulty of converting the drum brakes on the '66 Cat to disk brakes for ease of maintenance and operation. If anyone has any advice on places to start looking, parts, kits, overall cost or just outright "Dont do it, you'll create more problems than solutions." Please let me know. Thank you!

Good morning! Im restoring my grandfathers 1966 Catalina and needed some advice from the people down around Phoenix AZ. There are a couple of rust spots right behind the front wheels that I need corrected, headliner, rear window rust spots and id like to get the whole thing re-painted in the original Reef Turquoise. I was looking for shop recommendations. This car is my baby so I obviously value trustworthy places down here that will treat my car with the same level of care that I do. Being relatively new to the area I appreciate any advice you can give on places to avoid and places to seek out! Thank you!

Its actually currently in transit from the marshlands of northern Iowa down to Phoenix. Off the bat she hemorrhages oil so im going to chase that leak. After that just restore to factory as best I can.

My name is matt and im new to forums in general so this is a first. I own a 1966 Catalina that was passed down from my grandfather who bought it off the line, to his son after he passed, to me as my first car. After 1 year of college and a military enlistment, I finally have the time, space, and money to ship the car to me and begin restoring her. I look forward to interacting with some of the people here and becoming more experienced as time goes on.
