  1. I can't imagine that Pontiac would let something like that out of the factory. How long have you owned this car? It's possible this happened before you got this car, and it was justa hidden by the gasket and nobody ever caught it. But it looks broken to me in the pic and I know my 428 factory intake does not have that big hole in it. Justa my thoughts and I'm sure somebody else will chime in shortly with more info.

  2. Ok bro, this is how mine was hooked up. But remember it may not be correct due to previous owners messing with it. It only has the power wire and 1 speaker wire. One of the other guys may be able to give you a bit more info on this.

Once mine is on the road and all the bugs worked out, I had plans of building a standalone system in the trunk because I love the way the original dash looks. Bluetooth head unit and amp mounted to a box sitting behind the backseat in the trunk. Then run the speakers up to the dash, back seat and possibly behind the kick panels. Would also be room for speakers or subs in the trunk front or back of the wheel wells. All tucked behind carpeted panels. But that's a long way down the road for me.

  3. Hey bro, this guy sells a kit, and he was really easy to work with. I used a lot of stuff from him when putting together my brake system. I do also have the list now of donor cars you can get the parts from.

  4. Well, the pumpkin came out and went back in a lot easier than I thought it would. I ran the bolts down snug but did not torque them since I have not found torque specs yet. None of the gears had any chips or cracks that I could find during or after cleaning. Axels are back in and bolted. The only thing left is to put the brakes back together. I did a quick prime and paint to the calipers and about the time I sat down to install them it started raining. Rain for the next 3 days so I'll get pics of those when they get installed. I also found that brass piece from the sludge pump in the bottom of the housing.

  5. The 2 silver "pill" looking things do go to the console. 1st one comes up from underneath and goes into a hole justa under the strike plate for the lock if I remember right, it give light to the inside of the console. The 2nd should run under console on right side and go to the rear courtesy light at the back of the console. Give me a min to go out to garage and see if I can find the schematics, there in color but old and warn bro.
