  1. Well, the pumpkin got torqued down to 50lb and filled up today. Also got the brakes and wheels on and the car back on the ground. Still have to get emergency brake adjusted. But that's going to have to wait. I have to leave for Missioui tomorrow and not exactly sure how long I will have to be there yet.
  2. Welcome Richard, do you have any pictures of the car? You will find some very knowledgeable people here. If you have any questions justa ask. What are your plans for the Bonneville?
  3. Cool bird. Welcome, thanks for sharing.
  4. I can't imagine that Pontiac would let something like that out of the factory. How long have you owned this car? It's possible this happened before you got this car, and it was justa hidden by the gasket and nobody ever caught it. But it looks broken to me in the pic and I know my 428 factory intake does not have that big hole in it. Justa my thoughts and I'm sure somebody else will chime in shortly with more info.
  5. Nice! Look forward to seeing what you have going on.
  6. Hey Steve welcome, great looking Grand Prix. Got any other pics? We love pics, whats been done her?
  7. Awesome rides!!! Thanks for sharing the pics, what's your plans?
  8. Welcome bro! Great pics, love those style hoods!
  9. That head unit is small, should fit great in the console bro. But you have got to let me know how those speakers are! I thought about under the seat speakers before but didn't figure they would fit.
  10. Ok bro, this is how mine was hooked up. But remember it may not be correct due to previous owners messing with it. It only has the power wire and 1 speaker wire. One of the other guys may be able to give you a bit more info on this. Once mine is on the road and all the bugs worked out, I had plans of building a standalone system in the trunk because I love the way the original dash looks. Bluetooth head unit and amp mounted to a box sitting behind the backseat in the trunk. Then run the speakers up to the dash, back seat and possibly behind the kick panels. Would also be room for speakers or subs in the trunk front or back of the wheel wells. All tucked behind carpeted panels. But that's a long way down the road for me.
  11. Hey bro, this guy sells a kit, and he was really easy to work with. I used a lot of stuff from him when putting together my brake system. I do also have the list now of donor cars you can get the parts from. www.ebay.com/itm/333289058045
  12. Hey bud, I'm pretty sure that when I pulled mine to rewire my car that it also only had to 2 wires. But my harness was chopped by the previous owners. If this rain slows down, I'll run out and take a look.
  13. Well, the pumpkin came out and went back in a lot easier than I thought it would. I ran the bolts down snug but did not torque them since I have not found torque specs yet. None of the gears had any chips or cracks that I could find during or after cleaning. Axels are back in and bolted. The only thing left is to put the brakes back together. I did a quick prime and paint to the calipers and about the time I sat down to install them it started raining. Rain for the next 3 days so I'll get pics of those when they get installed. I also found that brass piece from the sludge pump in the bottom of the housing.
  14. Hey bro, I've had pretty good luck at Franks and Frosty turned me on to Desert Vally. There's a couple more that the other guys know but I lost the list I copied from them. I'm sure they will chime in shortly. frankspontiacparts.com www.dvap.com
  15. Does anybody happen to know the torque specs for the 10 nuts holding the pumpkin to the housing? The book has everything listed except that.
  16. You didn't give me time to guess! Damn it, I actually knew this one, so not fair Frosty. Glad you found that and it was an easy fix bro.
  17. Ok bro, so that light hooks into the upper console where the ashtray goes. Here a pic thru the ashtray hole and from around backside. Hope these help.
  18. I hear bro, happy to help anyway that I can. So the schematics are old and faded it a bit. But the book shows it to be the brown wire. Looking at your pics I may be incorrect on those lights, give me a min to run back out to my car
  19. The 2 silver "pill" looking things do go to the console. 1st one comes up from underneath and goes into a hole justa under the strike plate for the lock if I remember right, it give light to the inside of the console. The 2nd should run under console on right side and go to the rear courtesy light at the back of the console. Give me a min to go out to garage and see if I can find the schematics, there in color but old and warn bro.
