  1. Hey there I installed new gasket and filter for TH400, when I fitted the bolt that holds the new filter on the filter was still “loose” , so I added some washers so the filter didn’t move about. It was a while between pulling the pan and reinstalling. Now I have a bad feeling the washers shouldn’t be there. Is this a re do or will it work ok. just asking to be safe than sorry cheers Doug.
  2. Thanks man. Ended up with Holden HQ springs as the front ends are apparently very similar. The beauty of the GM platform.
  3. New shocks front springs (30mm drop) all suspenion bushes and shocks. 15 inch 9” rear 15 inch 7” fronts = very happy ! !
  4. Hey there ,I have searched forms and goggled it almost there with this I think. Lots of good info however I’ve hit a wall with the block code block has cast A275 date code and 75 beside The distributor so defiantly a “75” as far as the code goes and stamps on passenger side front doesn’t check out. seemingly random stuff ? Please see photo attached. Stamped RR passenger side top near head. under that PB 8091 stamped. cast YU and I think 537. Any clarification would be awesome cheers Doug
  5. That’s great thank you for that. I’m searching the engine number now. Thanks again.
  6. Hey just wanting to check a tag number PT-68 4066 I searched and has come up with 68 GTO 400 2 barrel would anyone have a cross reference cheers Doug
  7. Hey I was wondering if it is worth opening up the vents on the GTO hood ? Letting air in and hot air out when idling. Would remove inserts and add bug mesh Has stnaderd type air filter. Cheers Doug
  8. Yeah brakes and wiring issues at first then handling and ride height. Really happy with the way it runs for now good headers 750 holly and edelbrok intake makes it loads of fun.
  9. Yeah left hand drive. That’s my wife after a run round the road. No dash lights meant no idea how fast we were going..... but it felt quick. Looking at wiring and a brake booster initially then handling ride hight and on it goes. Summer is just round the corner here so now major plans except driving around ! Great site btw. Lots to read
  10. Hey saying hello. Getting started here with a 69 lemans. Interested in learning as much as possible ! Car runs great and cosmeticly really good. Looking at brakes very soon as it goes fatster than it stops at the moment, then suspension and electrical in the near future not matching numbers but a very good clean machine Cheers doug
