My 1974 Pontiac Firebird Esprit was resurrected in April 2014 after spending over 30 years in my Father's garage. I purchased this car in October 1974 from Kemper Pontiac in Bridgewater, NJ. I drove the car until I got married to my wife Diane in October 1985 when I parked it in my parent's garage in Bound Brook, NJ. For a brief time I ran it when I visited but then as the battery got weaker and it became a chore to jump it, I just let it go. Did not properly shut the car down so it just sat there. After my Mom and Dad died we had to sell their house and in 2013 got the Firebird on a flatbed and moved it to Autohaus in Peapack, NJ and had Gene Kirshner work on getting the car roadworthy once again. Gene worked on the car for 9 months in his spare time and in April 2014 my Firebird was once again flying!
This Firebird Esprit has the deluxe white interior and 28,800 miles on the 350 2 barrel carb. Original Honduras Maroon paint. 15x7 Rally II Wheels with BF Goodrich Radials replaced the Good Year F7814 Polyglas tires and deluxe wheel covers (which I still have). Still a few things that I want to do to the car but it is fun just driving it once again.
