Treasure those late nites, they will help you grow in many ways. My late nights are done, or at least I hope so! But I had a life full, both professionally as well as personally. In my teens, my buddies & I would work lots of late nites, drag racing, break it, fix it go back for the next round & so on! Once I entered into amateur racing, 24 hours straight many times to be ready for race day wasn’t unusual. When I was 20 through my 30s many late nites on a rock driveway building two cars to be ground pounding muscle that just plain handled like they were slot cars & would leave most guys scratching their heads! Worked many a late nites on Dash 9 locomotives in Little Rock, Council Buffs & Lincoln. Mine haulers in the Powder River Basin & Chuquicamata Chile, installing or overseeing my prototype monitoring systems being installed, which always meant problems when they finally interface with the drivetrain, diesel electric is a complicated beast. Than of course there was the Indian! Not a lot of late nites under it, but there were many at a computer that I spent in the early part of the planning of what it would eventually become. Then there was this beast & it’s friends! Then there was this beast!

True enough mate! Pretty much nothing is invented anymore! We all borrow in one way or another from something that’s already been done! Sometimes a little, sometimes a lot. That makes us smart! Not stupid! Like you say, why reinvent the wheel? Just make a different one.

So Kiwi if you can show me some detailed picture of the issue & the differences I’ll see what I can shake out.

Kiwi, not enough time to get in to it right now but a couple quick things! The 3800 that is in the Grand Prix (1997-2003) is a low profile supercharger that uses a thin lower manifold. So I would tell you that with the right mods you can do it. Also, those finned valve covers are somewhat rare & renewable.

The picture below was the standard spoiler they generally used from 88-96 This one is the one you show on the 97-03 GP. As I said it’s not for the model year GP. But it might fit based on the picture you showed, but how much work is involved to make it fit!

No that’s not a stock spoiler for a 1997-2003 GP. There were only three, than there was a couple aftermarket ones, none of which looked like the one you show. That particular spoiler looks to be from the 1988-1996 gen. Which actually didn’t appear till the later part of that generation. Could you adapt one of those to be what that one is? I can’t say, never looked at the dimensions of it. It could be a aftermarket that I haven’t seen as well.

Looked like Naples got hit pretty hard with flooding. Hope he was spared. Over 2 million without power, last night, might be more now.

We have friends about 20 miles inland at Ft. Myers, but fairly close to the Caloosahatchee River. Not sure they’re going to fair well! Hope so!

If you thought life was tough using fossil fuels? Wait till you live it under “Green Energy”! Most Europeans will either be freezing this winter or going broke paying for the heat or both! Because they jumped in to green energy with both feet! Now they don’t have enough energy to keep the heat or lights on! Green energy only works when the wind blows fast enough for wind turbines or the sun is out for solar! It can’t be stored! So forget about electricity at night & It will never be able to be stored under current conditions! There are not enough natural resources to make what would be needed to store that volume of energy! So if you think that green is a good idea or it’s acceptable; we’ll get ready, cause you’re going to be cold & in the dark & broke! Oh yeah! That EV you might buy!? It’s going to be sitting a lot cause you won’t be able to charge it. Think not? Look at what California just did recently. Speaking of EV’s. What are all these people that have their garages so full they park all their cars outside going to do to charge that EV? Drag multiple 50’ electric cords out to the driveway every few days? If that’s what they plan? They need to see the above picture!
