  1. Great shots kiwi. I'm not sure that anyone in the US would allow a flame thrower vehicle, much less a jet dragster to fire up on a grassy lawn, simply as a fire hazard, much less actually burn part of it. Someone would sue the organizers if they did, most likely. Still great stuff. Thanks for sharing!
  2. What? You don't like Fred Flintstone style braking? Imagine that!
  3. Why does that sofa or love seat look like it belongs in an airport? You know the type - the really uncomfortable ones in the boarding area.
  4. That's great news Red 80 TA! So where did you end up getting one from?
  5. UMI's 64-70 B-body also shows fitment for 59-70 full size Chevy's. Should be the same chassis. You can also call UMI Tech Support too in order to validate fitting your GP.
  6. No disrespect to QA1 gear, it is top notch, but it also pricey. I often find better pricing with UMI Performance products.
  7. Two years ago I converted by '86 Trans Am from R12 to R134a. It was expensive (as compared to trying to find R12) but now I can go to my local parts store and recharge the system if I have to.
  8. Hi performance tubular control arms or,trailing arms are a tad more expensive than stamped steel OEM/OER replacements. However, the resist deflection more because they are stronger units. Shop around. The GP is also on a Catalina/Bonneville chassis, I would be surprised if the control-arms or trailing arms for a 63 Chevy didn’t interchange. Chevy prices are often lower. The cost factor you are dealing with is that this is a full size car and not an A or F body car. Therefore demand for full size performance suspension parts is a lot lower.
  9. Frankly, that build sheet is in much better shaped than I expected it to be. Congrats, that is a great find.
  10. Yeah, I get another tool box as soon as he outgrows it! YES! 🎉
  11. Isn't it amazing that with cars, the simplest of jobs takes twice or three times longer than anyone ever expects it to.
  12. Canada seems a little too Roadrunner/Coyote-ish to me.
  13. Is the Mustang a total loss (do we know yet)? While it looks bad now, not sure how much is justa sheet metal damage versus other damage to the suspension and such.
  14. The important thing is everyone is alive and not seriously hurt. Sorry about your mate and his Mustang. It's a gut punch for sure. I hope the bloke that did this gets some serious jail time. Were drugs or alcohol a factor in this accident that you know of? Road rash, even from the grass, are badges of honor for the Camaro and give you a story to tell to your mates. Paint can be fixed too. Gladi you are okay mate!
  15. The only downside on this car is that it is an actual column shift GTO, no center console or shifter. But it is a real 242 car.
  16. JUSTA brings up an interesting point. If your radiator cap is original, it maybe time to consider replacing it with a new one.
  17. I agree with 31pontiac on wrecking yards. Also found this add in the latest POCI Smoke Signals magazine.
  18. That's easy. It's a classic example of physics at work. As temperature increases, the coolant expands. Once the pressure limit of the radiator cap is met, say 22 lbs, it will allow hot coolant to pass to relieve the pressure. When the engine is first shut off, all the ambient heat remains in the system, but the radiator isn't getting air flow to cool the coolant nor is the water pump circulating anything. So pressure will build until the cap releases and pressure in the system is released. Next thing you know, you have coolant on the ground.
