  1. 69' Firebird 400!!! Great cars on this calendar!
  2. One of my favorites,67 GTO! Congratulation.
  3. Way to go ! That is one beautiful car!
  4. Just finished sand blasting the wheels original to my '69 Firebird 400. Cleaned them up really good and primed them with self etching primer. It's pretty cold around here and not good enough ventilation ,so I'm going to wait a while , and finish them up with Dupli-color silver wheel paint and charcoal grey. We'll see how they come out . Should be good....like new again. One step closer!!! Actually the dupli-color paint I am going to use is Silver High Performance Wheel Coating Silver High Performance Wheel Coating 11 oz. Aerosol HWP101 and Graphite High Performance Wheel Coating Graphite High Performance Wheel Coating 11 oz. Aerosol HWP102
  5. Getting ready to install new convertible top and need to replace the satin windshield headers. They are a S.O.B. to remove! Once all the screws are removed, mirror bracket, visors, and rubber valance seals they still won't budge! As I suspected, there is a bead of body seal along the perimeter of each one that holds like iron! A little heat with a heat gun or a hair dryer will make this task much easier. Carefully pry them off. Mine were rusted through in spots so it made it easier . You might want to remove the windshield trim first. It may make reinstalling them much easier.
  6. Great calendar Another great Year!
  7. Cathy and our 1986 Firebird on an Adirondack road trip!
  8. Need to clean up the surface rust and get it ready for paint. It also needs a top,not sure if I want to attempt that job. I've put about 250 miles on it,need to tweak the vintage holley 650 4brrl, and then some odds and ends in the interior, should keep me busy this winter! Thanks! Sorry reply so long coming ,been busy!
  9. Happy to find Forever Pontiac! I've always been a Pontiac guy, since I got my first Pontiac at 15 yrs. old. It was a 1963 Bonniville convertible. Wish I still had that one! Now I have a red 1986 Firebird, which I've owned for 18 yrs....never seen winter since I've owned it. I bought my father a 1973 Firebird, green w/ white vinal top, and lastly I've been working on a 1969 Firebird 400,4 speed, convetible found in a garage where it sat for 34 yrs! I've got it running.new brake system, all new suspension.radiator,alternater,etc,etc,etc.... Still a work in progress, need paint and new top, window seals, etc. Well glad to be here, and looking forward to everyones stories and expertise! I can use the help!
