  1. Ghost, Thanks for the welcome, much appreciated. I worked with a shop since I had no way to bend 3/16" stainless steel. I used an OEM bracket to get the measurements and built a test jig for fitment (QA check). I was also lucky enough to come across a 2D drawing of the part, which was used to cross check my measurements. The brackets have been installed on many GP's now and the feedback is excellent. I had a few left form the initial run and thought I'd see if this forum could use them. Thanks again, Paul
  2. Gents, Its nice to meet you all, I'm a long time Grand Prix owner and Pontiac guy. My first car was a 70 GP I purchased in 1978, I also owned and restored a 67 GTO. I currently have a 69 GP that I'm moderatly restoring. In the process I desided to "try" to once again see if I could find the 2 parts keeping me from converting the car to a 4sp.... the countershaft frame bracket and the console plate. After a lot of searching I desided to make the bracket. Some friends wanted some after they saw them... so I have a few left and thought I'd reach out to the forum and see if anyone needed them. I'm offering for sale 69-72 GP countershaft frame brackets. These brackets are a superb reproduction of the OEM countershaft frame bracket. They are made of 3/16" stainless steel (where as the OEM was 1/8" cold rolled steel). They are much stiffer than the originals and 100% accurate in all dimensions. They will fit your 69-72 GP perfectly. They will never rust and does not need to be painted. If you have desired to convert your automatic GP over to a 4-speed or 3-speed application, want a spare, or to support a heavy-duty clutch / pressure plate... this bracket is for you. The cost is $125 ea + shipping. If you have any questions please feel free to call me or reach out in this forum. Thanks, Paul Margozzi (408) 888-4374
