  1. 1977 Firebird Formula in Nautilus Blue with a PONTIAC 400. Purchased new, never let go. New paint, refinished wheels, and such about 2 years ago.
  2. Love this car--an uncle of mine bought a new one in Jackson, MS, same as yours but with a white interior, loud dual exhausts, fender skirts with factory wheels--he was the man and traded in for a new Pontiac every year for years, but that was my favorite of his--he even skipped a year before trading that one.
  3. Oh my, gawgeous and it growls. Very nice.
  4. If you've got the money, that's a great year.
  5. Yes, I actually ordered the car when I was still in school and it was delivered the same month I started working. I added a moonroof to it within a month to add a little touch to it. A cousin of mine had a white 77 Trans Am with one and it was a little easier to deal with than the T-Tops and it still gave it a little edge. The only thing I might have done different is have the T-Tops and the manual transmission. Within 3 months I picked up an old truck to drive to work and started keeping the miles--and weather--off the car. I thought I would be using it around town as much as anything and I felt a manual trans with the big motor would be a mistake--turned out it's made a few 6 hour trips but is mostly driven to church on Sunday now. But I enjoy it when I do get it out.
  6. Sadly I don't know much about cars, but I always loved Pontiacs since my Dad brought home our 64 Catalina, then a 66 Bonneville, and a 72 Gran Ville. I still have my first, a 77 Firebird Formula. Pontiac 400, Auto Trans. I recently had it repainted to the original nautilus blue, wheels are refinished, carpet and seat coverings are new and added a new but original looking AM/FM radio. It's not perfect but she's in pretty good shape--still less than 63,000 miles, still turns heads, still very dependable. But I really love them all, the 58's, the 66 GTO, and of course the 77/78 Birds among my favorites. Looking forward to checking this out from time to time.
