  1. I just came across this thread. I'm very happy that everything worked out for you. I see this all the time on my 4wd forums and I'm glad you got top notch advice from the members here. Reading through this thread you'd think a lot of people had hydro-locked 4x4's doing dumb shit as I have. The level of knowledge was very impressive. Kudos FP members.
  2. Hear hear brother!!! WTF is with that????
  3. I agree, I think BOTH those cars got slapped with the ugly brush....hard. I used to have a Civic SI years ago. Altezza's, pounding system....and really nice 17" rims that actually SLOWED the thing down even more!! But I had VTEC so I was bad ass!!!
  4. For you and Ghost, it wasn't the actual 2 cars in the pic I was referring to, more the list below the 2 pics. As an example, it could just as well be a Ford Focus vs a Trans Am WS6, or a Civic vs a well built GTP....the list is endless. The point was stickers and bling vs real performance mods.
  5. I thought this kind of fit the converstaion...
  6. Got mine in the mail yesterday, its on the van today. Thanks!!!
  7. Dick punch....hard. What an f-ing moron. Love the duct tape Gran Turismo style stripes. Jeez...
  8. I guess they haven't considered the future problem of killing off all the girls and leaving only males. A predominantly male society should take care of their current over-population problem. What a shame their view of life is the way it is.
  9. No prob. At least I know its not lost in the mail.
  10. Still waiting.........stupid postal service.
  11. I'm leaning towards option 2. I'm sick of monthly payments right now.
  12. Great ideas guys....but this is a courier van that sees about 700 miles per week. Anything that I do will be relatively cheap and all about appearance and comfort. If I had bought it as a project just to be different, then hell yeah, full speed ahead on turbos, and suspension and and and.....When I actually purchase a project then we can have some fun with ideas for it.
  13. It is getting dropped, but only down to stock height. And then stock wheels and tires are going back on it...and so is the For Sale sign. I'll sell the lift and wheel package separately. I can't justify $450 per month for a truck that sits in the driveway and collects dust. And yes Sam, this thing is not very fun to fill up. I could justify the cost if it was an F-Body or a Mustang, but its a truck. Not exactly fast and fun to drive.
  14. No issues with mine, other than what I've done to it. Going back to stock suspension height. Stock 17" wheels....go from there. I love this truck and I really don't want to lose it. The V8 is wicked fun.
  15. Hmmmm.........interior LED's.............I like. May need to look into these for me....
  16. Those honey combs are the tits!! I love those wheels!!!
  17. Oh fiddle dee dee...pass the potatoes!! And Guiness!!! Cheers all!!! Time fer some shamrocks and shenanigans!!
  18. Good luck with that!! If I won the lotto I'd have a barn for all my cars. I'd like to actually own a TA. Only driven a few. But I have had 4 Camaros in the past. Best one was a 1987 IROC with a 350 and a 5 speed. Miss it greatly. One with the most potential was 1967 SS/RS with a small block 350, 4 speed and needed A LOT of work .
  19. ...and I MAY get to keep it. This makes me happy. If I do keep it the lift comes out, the BFG A/T's are getting sold and it will built more "Street Truck" than offroader. It is after all a fully loaded Eddie Bauer. Don't wanna beat the crap out of it in the bush. As it sits now... The day I got it... My first Explorer... The EB currently has a 2" lift, K&N intake, Magnaflow exhaust, SCT SF3 tuner and 32" BFG A/T KO's.
  20. Sweet TA dude. Drove a 93 LT1 when I was in Florida back when the car was new. What a friggin' blast. Nothing quite like a V8 rear wheel drive for some fun times....
  21. As far as having to have a minivan, the Montana was the nicest one as far as I was concerned. It at least looks sort of sporty. And it is really comfortable. Important when you're in it 8 or so hours a day. I would like to get my hands on an 06 or 07 G6 GTP for a toy. That could be fun. But thats not going to happen anytime soon, the Montana it is for the time being.
  22. Yeah, this is our second Montana. My wife had a blue 2001 or 2002 (can't remember exactly). It was a nice van, but totally base model. She wasn't so happy with it after awhile so it got sold off. I think if it would have had more bells and whistles she may have kept it. She really likes this new one (but that could be because she doesn't have to drive it!!) And my daughter really like the power sliding door. I have to admit that as a courier, that is one sweet feature!!
  23. As a few of you requested, here are some pics of the new Montana. As of now its stock, except for the shorty antenna. There will be some work done with lighting and audio to start, as well as front tints. After that we'll see what happens. I'd like to get some nice 17's for it as well and use the factory 15's for snow tires. All in all, its in really good shape for being 7 years old. It was really well maintained. No rust, dents, scratches. Interior is really clean with no rips or stains. Very happy with this van. Just need to make it not so 'stock' now...
  24. Thats one hell of a project you are undertaking!! Good job!! its nice to see a classic restored properly.
