  1. Thanks for the welcome. I read the rules and guidelines, hope I'm not in trouble already!
  2. My obsession. The Trans Am - years: '77, '78,'79. I am currently in the process of restoring my 78 Y82. I have taken most of the body parts from a donor: rear quarters, full floor pan, trim, back window. I have decided I hate spot welds! Everyone thinks it is very cool but that I am nuts because I am a female and I am doing this myself. I hope I am successful. I bought my Trans Am from a guy who swore and bragged it was matching numbers and when I found out it wasn't, he refused to make the sale right. The car matches the PHS sheet and the engine is the right year but NOT numbers matching. I decided that what goes around comes around; this guy will get what he deserves. Mostly FREE advertising from ME! but I figure I will cut my losses and move forward! I am in the very beginning stages of resto'; I am gathering parts and have enough to start replacing soon. I need to clean up the parts, take them down to metal then I will be learning how to make my own spot welds and hope I never have to remove them! Wish me luck! You will definitely see me in the forums asking for advice and sharing what I learn through this awesome journey of blood, sweat and learning new curse words!
