  7. well i got the new cam in on my dirty girl. bought a new timing chain and gears, the rollmaster was loose as hell.went with the cloyes set up. the cam end play looks good now to change the valve springs for the new cam and hopefully do some smokey burnouts real soon, Anyone local need to borrow some tools i had to buy hit me up. thankfully i sold a bunch of appliance parts on feebay so nothing out of pocket right now. hell i even sold my old cam within days of pulling it out! win win!
  8. I've been hooked on the aussie border patrol on you tube. Wish we had the same protections you guys have! But then again i couldnt come back to the USA if we did LOL
  9. I'm justa tryin to get better gas Mileage to save the earth. Its the least i can do..seriously if i could do something leasty i would. LOL
  10. i "think" he did a line Hone...my crude measurements suggest this. i ordered a clyoes timing chain today so i will see what happens when it gets here in a few days....i looked over all my receipts from "vic's" and no where does he include a timing chain.. i guess i cant complain to much as i have put alot of miles on this motor since 2014. And it has ran pretty good. hoping my new cam choice and other incidentals will get me moving out a bit faster.
  11. i'll have to take a pass i really want this car back on the road
  12. found some slop in my timing chain, finding out double rollers may not be the best. on a side note the cam degreeing went really well. learned alot. took me all weekend but I can do it in no time now. when I get the new chain ill do it again..have measure some stuff because of the line bore so will need .05 .10 undersized. chain...
  13. justa messing around in the garage. changing the cam and springs etc.. check out the mess i found today. Kinda hard to feed the cam retainer like this..IMG_2396.HEICITRX9572.HEIC pics suck..ITRX9572.HEIC Dennis im gonna send you pics i give up..
  14. How long have you had the car? A filter change and refill could be in the cards. Hard to tell in pic but the trans fluid should be very red. Slow engagement could be low fluid as well.

  18. do you have adjustable upper control arms? if the rear isnt centered that can make it easier to do so. its why i went with adjustable that and to adjust pinion angles.
  19. Thanks again Frosty for the picker! yes i have the engine stand and picker hooked up. the wife is in my garage as well as the Master, Remi the boss. it would take a lot of Michelle to make this thing fall. Michelle is very much a bull in a china shop type of person and i really dont want her to get hurt.
  20. The leaking plug was right over the drivers side motor mount...of course. all the rest are solid but i changed them all to brass. waiting on a kit from butler for the head plugs. However i have to take some blame here as i have NOT changed my radiator coolant in 7 yrs... PHLC7924[1].HEIC IMG_1186[1].HEIC yes Remi was supervising. IMG_1191[1].HEIC
  21. sooo here we are today the motor is out 1st time in 7yrs..iirc (and i probably dont) found a freeze plug core plug whatever you want to call it weeping at the beginning of the summer. only found it because i was chasing an oil leak. But these pics are a mod im doing to shoot a bit of oil at the distributer and cam gear. This is also an area where crap can build up behind this plug. this also gets rid of possible air pockets starving #8 lifters to starve from oil. Using a #60 wire gauge drill bit i drilled through this plug. This is helpful if using a composite distributor gear. I am not personally. Pontiac SD motors came this way i bet for a good reason.
