  1. I have been looking for ways to differentiate my Torrent from the masses. I know that the GXP isn't very common already, but I like to separate myself with something unique but still clean looking. Does anyone know of a roof spoiler available for the Torrent or the Equinox? I don't want anything obnoxious or stupid looking. My aim is to find a spoiler that looks like the spoiler on the HHR. Something subtle, but sporty looking as well. Any suggestions? Example: ... ... ... Off topic, but when I was looking for a pic of the spoiler I stumbled across this gem... I used to love Ghostbusters when I was a kid and then I would have killed for this car!! lol
  2. Ironically Ringo, I read in another article that the G6 GT was the spiritual successor to the 6000STE.
  3. I had one as my first car... The thing looked like a piece but ran like a champ and wouldn't quit. A few years later I was reading an article in Car and Driver where they were lauding as "the perfect American car", "the original import killer", "the best car GM ever made". In the article they even said they believed their love affair with the car was a little over the top lol. Apparently the design that was employed and the feedback received on this car was what led to the next generation of the Bonneville and the Grand Prix. The car would also be on the Car and Driver 10 best list from 1983-1985. I thought this was an appropriate forum for feedback. The car still does nothing for me but seeing as how it was considered the stepping stone into the (then) next generation of cars, it seems worthy of recognition...l (this one looks just like my first car... with less rust lol)
  4. I love the LOOK of the car... I just wish that Gm would have put the 5.3 V8 in it instead of the Northstar. I do agree though, it is a very sharp looking car.
  5. How many other Torrent GXP owners are there here?
  6. Only one I snapped just before I officially bought it. Its been rainy or I've been busy since I took delivery so I haven't had a chance to clean it up for a pic.hopefully tomorrow I can get a decent one.
  7. Back from the dead!! Have you had any check engine lights or anything since you installed this intake? I've settled that I don't need to add an exhaust but an intake is a must for. If this works out well than I am going to buy the air raid kit and do it up!
  8. Hey guys and girls. My name is Chris, I am 26 and from Dayton, OH. I sell cars for a living and have been doing so since 2006 when I started out at a Buick, Pontiac, GMC dealership. I am new to this forum but not to the cars. I am now the proud owner of a 2008 Pontiac Torrent GXP. I have always held Pontiac as my favorite GM brand and was sad to see that they had to be cut. I hope this is a pretty active forum... I like to get out and do things and meet people. I was very active at CobaltSS.net and miss the gatherings and interactions. It will be nice to get to know you all!
