I did take the passenger side tire and brake drum off. That side appears to be fine. I thought the same as Justa and Kiwi. Therefore I did inspect it. I am happy that it was only on one side.

As for chewing out my mechanic, I don't remember who did the brakes the last time. The guy I had put in the steering column last summer didn't touch the brakes. Those brakes have been on the car for at least 7-10 years. Lucy has been sidelined with heater core and steering column issues since 2019. This will be the first time in 5 years she has been road worthy.

Will be nice to have er back on the road.  :driving:

Justa - I saw this on the Motortrend shop website. I think any dog with a car name like Enzo, needs a special dog dish. Justa thought.

He gets into running fits, flying around the house @ full blast!!!  We call it zoomies. LMAO  He likes to use up the last bit of puppy energy before he goes to bed at night, then it's game over, you can find him in his bed.

  3. Adjuster is brand new.  Why are you not all over your mechanic?  The missing end HAS to be in the drum.  What about the other side?  Guess I've never had both sides off at the same time while doing brakes.  Seems like the adjuster is side correct?  If they are backwards, they would we loosening instead of tightening up the brake shoes.   But, that would be the only way the loose (missing) end would be able to slip off.  Justa guess and I could be wrong, but bettin the adjusters got mixed up somehow.

  4. What are you driving?  As you said 16's, I'm assuming a newer car?  You can go bigger rims on back, but you might have to run shorter (rubber band) tires to make up the gap.  Front wheel drive makes the back rims, drag along for the ride.  Depends on how much room you have to work with.  Trip to a local tire/rim shop will answer all your questions.  How bout a pic of your ride?  We like pic's round here.

Yeah man, I knew he felt bad. I told him we'd justa touch it up after she was running and not to stress about it. He's in the garage with me every day after school, I honestly have no idea how many hours he has put in on that car with me. That counts for something right, and you can't be mad at him for mistakes that anybody could've made.

Memories made will last a lifetime.  Huge "atta boy" to get him interested and keep him working with you instead of having his face stuck to a phone screen.  Wrongway has it covered and doing it the rightway!!!
