Hey! This is Pure Pontiac here. I have attached a photo of my 1968 Firebird 400. This is 100% Pontiac just like it should be. This car was intended to be restored by my nephew but sadly he didn't live long enough to see that dream come true. So it was my goal to make it happen for him. It took years of blood, sweat and tears but well worth it.

The Last Indian! A ground pounder! Those of you who have read the build know why I call it that. Heavily modified to do just that. Not much left untouched inside or out. Even more was either built or extensively modified by me. Built to be in the vein of the old muscle cars, that when modified could have a great blend of power, handling & looks.

This week starts the most holy of holy weeks for us car guys in Michigan. The Back to the Bricks week long events in Flint Michigan and the Woodward Dream Cruise this Saturday, August 20th. So depending on which events you choose to participate in, you will be in a rolling cruise or a static show area. Either is great.

JUSTA6, JUSTAG6, Indyman Joe, myself will be out and about. Not sure if we will see notallthere and the missus thanks to Cankunistan border rules. I hope we do, but if not, we are thinking of them and we miss them - a lot!

This year I will be with the Michigan Widetrackers at the M1 Concourse on the south end of Pontiac. If you've watched the show Roadkill on Motortrend, then you know about "Roadkill Nights" event that is held at the M1. It is street legal drag racing on Woodward Ave one day a year, the week before the Dream Cruise. This year's event was held last Saturday and it is available for streaming from Motortrend.

So we will post pictures of the events we attend. Our plans for cruising are a little soft. Justa is still working on the Sunbird, so the Goat may need to hit the streets.

Well guys, I made down to Memphis. As you know Black Beauty was giving me fits all last week. As Justa alluded to in the Dust Off thread, I had AC and "fluid leakage" issues leading up to leaving. Plan B would be to drag out the Buick Roadmonster and take it. I know it has cold cold working AC! I took Black Beauty to the Dust Off. I placed a large piece of cardboard under her while on the show field. When Justa showed up, we took a look at it. It was bone dry.

So I rolled the dice Sunday morning and took her to Memphis. I left Michigan at 4:30 am! It was nearly 12 hours drive. I lost time south of Louisville in a construction zone tha decided to go from 4 lanes down to one! Bastiches! It cost me about 35 minutes but that was the only real slowdown I had.

So here are some shots on the way down to Memphis.....

Welcome to Kentuckystan!

Hi Rex

Wanna guess where I had lunch?

Say some cool cars on the road on the way down....

!

This was scary to watch .... I call it the tow trains! One vehicle tow two others

Cars in my hotel parking lot.....

It's not an April fools joke, these Pontiacs are down right awesome! Who is going to win? Vote now for your favorite Pontiac!

Please remember, this is a friendly competition. No one individual may register/vote more than once. If you are found soliciting individuals to register/vote more than once, you will be removed from the competition. Let's have a fun voting round!

Voting ends: March 31st at 11:59 PM EST

NOTE:  quite a few people forgot to add their Pontiac to the garage so have been disqualified and will not appear here in voting. Please remember to read both of the rules, if you have questions, please ask.
