  1. Went to York Saturday, June 5, for the NSRA Nationals East. We’ve been going to this show since the 2nd year it started (in the ‘70’s). Not the same event it was in its heyday (around 3500 cars and 2 large buildings full of parts vendors plus a fair size flea market) but still plenty of cars to look at. Here’s some of the Pontiacs in attendance and 1 extremely nice ‘32 Ford .

  5. Looks like June needs to end with a Tie Breaker as well! Guess we have so many great Pontiacs here that people don't know who to pick . Congratulations to both @JUSTA6 and @Mizzi for making it to a Tie Breaker but there can only be one Pontiac of the Month winner! Please remember, this is a friendly competition. No one individual may register/vote more than once. If you are found soliciting individuals to register/vote more than once, you will be removed from the competition. Let's have a fun voting round! Voting ends: June 7th at 11:59 PM EST ------------------------------- JUSTA6's 1980 Sunbird, 4:71 blown 321 V6 Mizzi's 1959 Star Chief Vista

  10. Thanks for asking, Frosty. The show went very well. For the first time in many years there was no threat of rain so we gladly put up with the heat and humidity. 147 GM cars and trucks attended with about 10 flea market vendors. This is a “no awards” event with door prizes and of course food and a DJ. I will soon post pics on the Pontiac Car Show.

  11. I have a few buddies doing that tour. It's my desire that in 2 years I can do it too (that's my target retirement date), spring of 2023. Lucy should also be back together by then too.

  12. First ride for the GTO this year, not the only one with an itch to get my rod out N play with it. At least with the new computer I can use my camera again!

  13. I finally got a chance to work on Lucy yesterday. I managed to fix the dash. The right turn blinker and high beam indicators weren't working. I was able to finagle the steering column wiring harness connectors off and on. Then I checked the bulbs and I ended up replacing one of the new LED bulbs in the cluster with another one once I did a bench test and it didn't light up. So now the dash is 100% working as it should, lights and all. I can now start the interior re-assembly. First I need to repaint the steering column. I scratched the crap out of it taking the dash in and out so many times. I did a quick side job, I replaced my old 5 3/4" T3 bulbs with new halogen replacements from Octane Lighting. I ordered them directly thru their Amazon store last winter. It was a plug and play replacement. Two low beams and two hi-beams. I had never replaced the T3s in the 27 years I owned Lucy. So needless to say there was a tad bit of corrosion on the electrical connections from all those years. Low beams are 3 prong connections and hi-beams are 2-prong (although they can take a third prong if needed). You can tell the difference between T3s vs the Octane bulbs can't you? The set ran about $200 with shipping. I've owned Lucy for 27 years now, until yesterday I never removed the headlights. Just a tad bit of corrosion build up, wouldn't you say? Similar problem with the electrical connection. It cleaned up with a little elbow grease. High and low beam together - original Guide T3s. The low beam T3 next to the Octane Lighting replacement which is a halogen replacement. It is a plug and play replacement. T3 low and hi beam on the left and the new halogens on the right? Notice how weak the T3s look. Here is a closer look..... Here is the finished product.
