  7. There are probably a lot to add on to that list. I was expecting the article to be pretty plain-jane and only things the light-hearted auto enthusiast would know. I was pretty happy but I too like the notes you made Frosty. Heck you should create one for each of the categories you brought up
  8. You should not have to change the idler and pitman arms per se. Now if they are worn, obviously that is a different story. I would suggest that you update/replace your existing rag joint as a precaution. Steering column should not have to be changed. However, food for thought, non-power steering cars had larger diameter steering wheels to have more leverage. You may or may not want to change the steering wheel to suit your taste. Another observation is when selecting your gearbox is choosing one with a different ratio than stock, if possible. Your stock box was probably 24:1 (about 4-5 turns lock to lock). A 16:1 or 12:1 means 3 turns. It means your steering will be faster.

    2020 Acura RDX

Among crossover SUVs, the 2020 Acura RDX stands out for its high-tech features, edgy looks, and strong turbocharged engine. It scores XX out of 10 on our scale. (Read more about how we rate cars.) The 2020 RDX was redesigned last year and is available in four trim levels—base, Technology, A-Spec, and Advance—which Acura calls packages...View the full article
  10. I agree - however Kroger gas doesn't make us immune to the crazy-ass price swings we get here in the MidWest.
  11. That sure sucks, but you were smart enough to have the work done with a warranty. Still a pain, but it's covered.
  12. Now your cookin.....95% of the gas i buy is from Kroger. Best deal out there!!
  13. I'd never heard or seen the Pontiac Farago CF 428 before. I am disappointed that they went between concept vehicles and production vehicles. I think I would have suggested that the author stick to one or the other. Especially since, in the case of the Banshee series there were four of them, they only mention #1 and #4. I guess #2 and #3 didn't make the grade. We could mention most of the Canadian-built Pontiacs, the Australian-built Pontiac pickup of 1929, the delivery trucks of 1926 1/2 to 1928, the 1979-1980 Grand Camino, the four-passenger Fiero or the lone convertible Fiero, virtually any of the other unnamed concept cars, the Pontiac G8 ST (that almost made production), the Mexico-only G3 How about the 1977 Pontiac Phantom - mind you this is not a working car but a full size model Ditto the 1999 Concept GTO....
  14. Acura MDX luxury crossover is $100 more expensive for 2020 For the 2020 model year, everything stays the same for the Acura MDX crossover, except the price. Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross earns IIHS award The IIHS has given consumers one more reason to consider the 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross crossover: its safety. 2020 Buick Encore Review The 2020...View the full article
  15. The end is nigh for two niche Volkswagen models. In a Wednesday announcement, VW said it will end production of the Golf Alltrack and SportWagen models for the U.S. market. Both models are currently made at the automaker's Puebla, Mexico, factory where production of the Beetle ended last week. VW cited declining wagon sales in favor of crossovers...View the full article
  16. https://motor-junkie.com/14-forgotten-pontiacs-probably-never-knew-existed/2218/ Decent article with one I was not aware of like the Sunburst. Any you didn't know or forgot about?
  17. For the 2020 model year, everything stays the same for the Acura MDX crossover, except the price. Buyers will need to shell out just a little more to step into a base MDX. Honda's luxury brand said in a Tuesday release the 2020 MDX will cost $45,395 after a $995 destination charge. Those looking for added fuel efficiency will need to spend $53,895...View the full article
  18. The IIHS has given consumers reason to consider the 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross crossover: its safety. The Eclipse Cross walked away from the insurance industry-funded safety group's barrage of tests with a Top Safety Pick award, though that's shy of the Top Safety Pick+ honor. To earn a Top Safety Pick, a vehicle must score a "Good" rating in...View the full article

  21. $2.59 today at Kroger. I had 10 cents off to bring it down to $2.49 for 87 regular.
  22. I'd love to go. In fact I should go since I am the President of the GMC Speciality Chapter. Alas I don't have the extra vacation time for it. Hope it is everything you want and more. I suspect Tim Dye will be bring the Pontiac sleigh - he's the only one I know who owns one.
  23. Dude, that truly sucks. Glad you got the warranty and it let go near home instead of Ohio. That towing bill could have been awful.
  24. What sort of history are you looking for? Some states Dept of Motor Vehicles (but not all) will provide limited past owner/address/information for a fee. Certain personal identifiable information (PII) is protected by federal law and cannot be provided. Most likely they can tell you if it was registered in their state and what city. Laws/information/fees vary state to state. I would recommend you reach out to the R E Olds Transportation Museum in Lansing Michigan if you are looking for information on the Delmont 88 itself. http://reoldsmuseum.org/ The OldsVIN Decoder website can help you decode the VIN # of your car. https://www.v8cars.hu/oldsvin/decode.php Haggerty's Valuation Tool can tell you what it's worth in USD https://www.hagerty.com/apps/valuationtools/1968-oldsmobile-delmont_88
  25. Hello here in London we are restoring a 68 Delmont 88. the US reg was 6KXVO71. does anyone have any history for this car?
  26. Needing instructions on how to make adjustments to the convertible top frame. Replaced pump & motor unit, both cylinders and bushing. The drivers side is perfect and windows fit properly, however the passengers side has a "dip" (please is pictures) in the frame keeping the windows from not fitting properly. Need to get passengers side frame adjusted and get "dip" leveled out. Thanks for reading and any information.
