- Description 5 window w/ rumble seat sport coupe. 1957 348 w/ 6x2bbls, 1963 muncie m21 w/m22 gears, dana 80 12 bolt rear w/ detroit locker and strange racing axles, triangulated 4 link w/coil over suspension, front is dropped 6 inch axle spring over with hair pins with original 31 knee shocks. Re-made all the wood framing for the body with ash. The car is finished but, not gonna post pics of it due to car show that I want to show it in regulations. But, can show pics or it prior to completion tho. I am the 2nd owner of this car and I still have the complete original drive train that I will re-install one day. Original sheet metal car. The story behind this car is kind of neat. The owners are from my home town and the husband raced cars in the early years of what is now nascar. He was a mechanic at the local chevy dealership and she was the parts lady. Well, they moved from the area and a good friend of mine from the service married her daughter and he told me about the car. And when I went over to look at it and started talking to the lady I remembered her from way back when. Now her husband had since passed away and the car sat in the basement garage with stuff piled all around it and on it. I fell in love with the car on site. I made her an offer and took the car home. After getting home I went thru the car checking on things everything looked great except for the plug wires. It looked as if the car had run just yesterday. So, I changed out the wires and threw in some gas and off she went running like a champ with a little smoke that faded away. So, I drove it around the block and after about the 3rd lap I remembered about the grease that I saw had leaked from the seals and coating the brake shoes. So, going around the block 2 more times mostly to slow it down enough to finally stop. I was trying hard to finish the car and take her for a ride in it. But, running around in the sandbox with the military for 8 years stalled the project. After I got back and continued with the build and didn't finish it in time to give her a ride in it again since she had passed. So, the car is named Miss Kitty after her name.
