Best info I can pass on, is one of the many sensors for each stage of opening/closing the top has gone bad or the connections need to be cleaned. Here is a link to the G6 owners....they should be able to point you to a schematic of the top electrical and hydraulic systems. Interesting. Two observations: First, the LS3 is a corporate V8 and not a true Pontiac-built engine (it's still a fine engine). Most Pontiac-built V8s had a redline between 6000-6500, including the Super Dutys and HO motors. Second, the highest revving Pontiac-built engine is the OHC 6 with a red line of 6700 for the 4-bbl version. -
