  1. Piston Powered Cleveland AutoRama '14 When most indoor shows reach their growth, it seems like the NEW Piston Powered Cleveland Auto-Rama is reaching new heights each year. The 48th Annual event, if you count all the Cleveland Autoramas, the newly remodeled, revamped look broke records in spectator attendance again for the second year in a row. The addition of the Hot Rod Asylum, in the I-X Centers' south hall, hosted by the Slick Devils Car Club has made a home for Kar Kulture, rock-a-billy bands and everything that's old skool hot rodding. Watch for that to pick up fast pre-entrys for next year as well as related style vendors. The show continued it's mission "if it's got a piston, it's in the show" with historical military displays, vintage planes, trucks, motorcycles as well as the usual array of custom cars, hot rods and race cars. The I-X Center is so big. How big is it? According to Trade Show Magazine, it's one of the Top 10 Largest Convention Centers in the WORLD - with 2.2 million square feet. Compare that with Detroits' Cobo Hall measuring in at 722,500 square feet of exhibit space, the 19th largest convention center in the country. One floor of the Piston Power show held 1,000 vehicles and don't forget there's a basement that hasn't been utilized as of yet - so there's plenty of room to grow! Show goers were treated to a "Zip Line" that traveled along the rafters giving a panoramic view of the show. Families were treated to the only indoor Ferris wheel, so large that it sticks thru the roof (glass enclosed) another added feature you won't find at any other indoor car show in the world. We're putting together a story that will be released in the August issue of the Cruisin' Times Magazine, while the folks at the Piston Powered Cleveland AutoRama are making plans for the 2015 Show, save the date it's March 20-21-22, 2015.
