Before I make a suggestion, what else have you done to the car from a performance perspective and/or what else do you plan to do to it? Your cam should work in conjunction with all your performance mods.

K&N intake going to upgrade to the Vararam intake. And just got long tube headers in it yesterday. I plan on getting a cam put in then fast 92mm intake & throttle body to match.

Are you going to put any performance / free-flowing cats or mufflers too? Also, what is your intended use of the car? Strictly street? Street and autocross? Street/strip? Also, is it fair to assume that your power brakes, power steering, and A/C are still in place and functional? No future power adder like a turbo, supercharger, or nitrous?

I do want to supercharge it but there so expensive I just don't have the money for it. And I really don't want to make that much horsepower. Just enough to blow a 5.0 out of the water. So with that being said for right now just street. And eventually I will have aftermarket exhaust all the way back. And yes all of the the things you mentioned are in place and operational

what is your time frame of having this all done? I would pick a known recipe for your goals and stick to it.Nice thing about todays cars you can reprogram them to stay in the safe zone as you build for the 5.0 zone, and beyond.

would you need a different cam for a FI build vs a NA build? jus saying so you dont buy twice. and is a SC enough to beat a 5.0?

Yes for best results you pick a cam based on N/A vs Turbo vs S/C vs NO2.

Also all you need is a LS to beat a 5.0 :lol2:
